Mrs. Nunn is a teacher at Carl Sandburg Elementary School. She teaches 6th grade. She has been a teacher more than 30 years. Mrs. Nunn has taught in many places including India as a Peace Corps volunteer, California, Oregon, Michigan, and Washington. She has been teaching at Sandburg for 19 years. Before becoming a teacher, Mrs. Nunn attended many colleges including Gonzaga University, Loyola University of Rome, Michigan State University, University of Washington, Universita’ per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy, and more. Her favorite subjects to teach are language arts and art, because she loves languages and feels that art makes people happy. She enjoys having class discussions. Mrs. Nunn said, “Listening to students’ opinions is very important.” In her family, Mrs. Nunn has her husband and a little black poodle named Jacques. She also has four sisters, two brothers, and lots of fun relatives.
